The 6th of November in Rotterdam. Be there!
Last week the ICA in London staged the first Information is Beautiful Awards, celebrating the best work in data visualizations, infographics and information art worldwide. The Ultimate Award, for most beautiful piece was won by CNN’s Home and Away, an interactive infographic about US & coalition casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan by Stamen Design.
Wednesday the 19th of sept sees the opening of Unseen, the “photo fair with festival flair”. Unseen aims to be an international platform and a meeting place for new photography talent, known photographers exhibiting unseen work and visitors keen on starting a collection of contemporary photography. From wednesday 19 till sunday 23rd of september in the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
The Transnatural Festival starts at 7 September in Nemo and presents an innovative experience and look into the future. Checkout the program with exhibions, performance & music and a 2 day conference.
Everybody talks about how mobile is becoming more important, responsive design, HTML5 and CSS3 animation- driven by an explosion of new, internet connected devices. Next week, Thursday the 23 of August, 4 Adobe evangelist will talk about the future of the web, at the Dutch Adobe User Group. Registration is now open – see you there!
Ready to Inspire is a new, affordable, conference about the craft of web design, type and code. Speakers include Jeffrey Zeldman and lads from companies like Facebook and Typekit. I think it’s cool that an event like this will take place in The Netherlands and we decided to support it at Mangrove. Really enjoyed making the website responsive together with illustrator Nozzman.
