I’m proud to present Kuvva for iPhone: a beautiful wallpaper gallery. Our team made a simple and elegant image gallery, offering downloadable images from artists, photographers, and designers from around the world. Check out this pretty awesome video by @joostvanderree, who also worked on the design of the app.
There has been a strong influx of stylish weather apps in the AppStore lately, especially since Adam Whitcroft released his Climacons. You might like this one, or this, or this, or perhaps this (iPhone version in beta), this, or even this. For something more comprehensive and useful, I’d recommend this though.
Just when you thought the parallax scrolling fad was dead, Nike reanimates the shit out of it with their new Air Jordan site.
Although ‘Seinfeld’ was conceived as ‘a show about nothing’, Jerry Seinfeld now took that concept to the next level. His new series – premiering Thursday, July 19 – is all about comedians in cars getting coffee.
There a new address book in town, supposedly bringing together everyone you know and all their latest details. Looks pretty neat, if you don’t mind uploading all you contact information and hope for the best. Go on, give it a try and let me know what you think.

This kinda blew me away: soon we’ll all be able to refocus a captured image after the fact. It works with light-field capturing and the company bringing this to consumers later this year is called Lytro. It seems they’re planning their own standalone camera, but imagine this being incorporated in your iPhone. Awesome!
Kuvva is here to style your digital life, starting with your Twitter profile. Every week Kuvva publishes a set of 7 different high quality images by the best artists, illustrators and photographers. Merijn Hos, a highly celebrated illustrator and designer from Holland, kicked off this week. Next week: new awesomeness.
Latest addition to the broad family of MC websites. Based on unifying set of interface elements and templates, a variety of websites was created in 2009 and 2010. From the Hollandse Nieuwe and De Laatste Dichters festival websites, to the all new Mixin Creativity blog and the umbrella website MConline.nl.
Work in progress – After Hollandse Nieuwe in November 2009, Mixin’ is the latest part of MC’s online presence that is being overhauled, planned to be online in February 2010. This year will also see a lot of improvements in related websites.
In 2009, Thijs Remie, Jay Sunsmith and Ferry van Zijderveld decided to stop at the synergistic height of their company.
One of the last Hotel projects. Originally created for the 2008 edition, we touched up the State Awards site a little for 2009. Darndest thing: still no category for best packaging this year.
Hotel did the design, Bob Mayata the animation, Angry Bytes the tech, Susan Stettler @ Universal oversight.
Redesign for radio station Lijn5’s website. Baster designed it, Hotel did the art direction and Bob Mayata was on the animation. Check out Lijn5 for some fine radio shows.
